Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time General Education Teacher position is available to support an afterschool program focusing on reading and math intervention and tutoring for K-8 students. This role is ideal for educators passionate about helping students improve foundational skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Hours: Part-time, approximately 7.5 hours per week

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver targeted reading and math tutoring to K-8 students to address individual learning needs
• Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with general education standards
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere during the afterschool program
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student success

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching general education with a strong emphasis on math and reading
• Background working with K-8 students in academic intervention or tutoring roles
• Ability to engage and motivate students in a part-time afterschool setting
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering student growth and confidence
