Join Our Team as a Per Diem Registered Nurse!

As a skilled Nurse, you will work independently in a dynamic clinical environment, providing both routine and complex patient care while demonstrating awareness of important situational details. You will develop long-range care goals, effectively manage clinical contingencies, and delegate tasks to ensure optimal care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exhibit the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care based on the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice by utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for all assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families with a compassionate approach.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring patients for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess patient and family learning needs, providing education and identifying necessary resources.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related specialty preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS certification required, along with an RN License in the state of employment or a compact.

Additional Requirements:

• All newly hired experienced RNs must participate in New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires will be precepted by a trained staff member, with on-boarding confirmed through competency validations.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a Perinatal Setting or completion of a Perinatal RN Residency.

Certifications:

• Current AWHONN Intermediate FHM certification or equivalent.
• Current STABLE certification in Neonatal Education.
• Current NRP and ACLS certifications required.

Position requires commitment to obtain required certifications per organizational policies within designated time frames.

Work Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM

Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
